Should Tavares Be Left Off the Calder Trophy Ballot?

John Tavares of the New York Islanders has been one of the most talked about hockey players since he was an early teen. At fifteen he was granted “exceptional player” status by the Ontario Hockey League in order to play for the Oshawa Generals.

Dealt to the Devils: Assessing The Trade That Lands Ilya Kovalchuk in New Jersey

It has been an extremely busy week around the NationalHockey League to say the least. Blast From the Past: Former NHLers Set to Take the Stage in Vancouver

Part of me wants the Olympics to begin because I’m excitedto see the Team Canada hockey team attempt to reestablish themselves as thebest team at the international level.

The Flames Are Big Winners in Sundays Blockbuster

After another winless weekend dropped the Toronto Maple Leafs to last in the Eastern Conference standings, general manager Brian Burke made a couple of big moves to shake up his hockey club who are losers of their last six games.
