T.J. Houshmandzadeh's release has been one of the hottest topics of this preseason. The receiver was considered one of the NFL's top-20 easily, and even top-10 on some lists. Now he is like 8.3% of America and is looking for a job.
The Minnesota Vikings have been rumored to be looking into acquiring Housh. Since star receiver Sidney Rice went down, the Vikings have been looking to see who will st...

In college, he was quietly one of the NCAA's leading rushers while playing for Michigan State. In the pros he has been quieter still. You have to feel at least a little bad for the kid. All he does is perform, and what happens? He gets drafted to back-up one of the NFL's most exciting rushers ever.
With Chris Johnson firmly holding down the helm in Tennessee as one of the NFL's elite backs, there...

Have you guys heard about T.J. Houshmandzadeh yet? Apparently he is on the market. So well plenty of fantasy owners are freaking out across football nation, the bottom feeders are left drooling at what could be in Seattle.
The Seahawks are under new management this year with head coach Pete Carrol at the helm. We all remember the kind of prolific offense he led at USC and I think most of us are w...

I woke up Saturday morning just outside of Blacksburg, Virginia with a little bit of an odd feeling. I went through my typical routine, workout, a little reading, and then headed out. As I drove through town I began to realize just exactly what it was providing this odd feeling, it was emptiness. Driving through Blacksburg on a September Saturday without football is like driving through a neighbor...

Let's face it, if you're drafting guys for your fantasy team who end up getting cut by their real teams, you're probably not going to win your league.
I mean, they only cut chumps like sixth-string wide receivers, and fourth-string tight ends, and ... what, now?
Awww, man.
I suspect that was the reaction from anyone who was counting on T.J. Houshmandzadeh to have a rebound year (count me among...

As I sit here digesting the days events in College football, I can't help but wonder about some local teams and how they pretty much escaped with a win today. The first one that finished today was the Longhorns taking on Rice, and while it wasn't a close game by score, it was a lot tighter game on the field and had some luck not happened early, it could have been an ugly day for the orange bloods....

Tonight was all about the long ball. In game two of this Phillies-Brewers series, a total of six home runs were hit. However, the game only had a total of nine runs, and three of those runs were not off of home runs. So that means all of the homers were solo? You better believe it. Tonight was certinly not a good night for either Roy Halladay, or his counterpart Dave Bush, ...

The first weekend of the college football season is a lot like a high school prom, the importance of the event depends almost entirely on who your date is. If you're taking your serious date, or at least a girl you want to talk into being a serious date, the whole event can be very significant. On the other hand, if you just asked the random girl from your Spanish class because, a. she didn't smel...

My first thought is Les Miles is the luckiest coach in America. UNC had no business being in that game down 13 players with your LSU Tigers. Two endzone incompletions with :06 seconds saved your job.
Hats off to UNC. North Carolina QB T.J. Yates played the 2nd of his life and the Heels nearly pulled off a monster upset. Let’s get back to Miles for a moment. He reminds me of Georgia Tech basketbal...

Usually when Cole Hamels starts, you can expect a low scoring game, where Cole allows one or two runs but can't get any run support, so he loses. Tonight was kinda the same. The low scoring would continue, but tonight, Cole would not allow the Phillies (as hard as they tried) to give him the loss. He brought his 3.31 ERA, and went to work on the all-but-eliminated Milwaukee Brewe...
